Getting Caught Up January 2012
I will have to readily admit that 2011 seemed to fly by with activity after activity, ministry event after ministry event. That being the case, I will be honest and say that I did not do a good job of keeping up with the Faith to Faith website, especially the Notes from the Heart and the News pages. I focused more on Facebook and Twitter.
God has done and continues to do amazing things in my life and in the ministry of Faith to Faith. I am seeing new avenues of ministry open here in the USA and am once again receiving invitations to travel/minister overseas (trips and short term endeavors) -- am praying about each one. My heart's cry is to be in the right place at the right time! No place is too small or too far away :-0)
Thanks to all who continue to support in prayer, words of encouragement, and finances!

March was a very productive month.

CrossPointe Church ~ Tollesboro, KY (current FTFI home missions project)

In June 2010 I was asked if I would minister two weekends in a row at a church in Tollesboro, KY, which is east of Maysville. CrossPointe had been without a pastor since the beginning of the year.  My answer, of course, was Yes! After my two Sunday services I was then asked if I would consider helping this local congregation through the process of calling a fully committed, long-term pastor. My answer again was Yes!  What a wonderful opportunity for Faith to Faith International to be of help to the Body of Christ.

It has been a busy month or so (I am writing this on 8.23)! Just yesterday we had a communion and healing service. The next big step for the church is to begin Children's Sunday School and Adult School of the Bible on September 5th.

Tollesboro is a mission field with only 34% of the population who would call themselves religious. This number is way below the 49% national average. Please note that this number is not those who attend church -- just those who would consider themselves religious. CrossPointe's goal is to reach out to those who are unchurched - bring those who know Christ but do not attend church back into fellowship and introduce Christ to those who are lost and without a Savior.

I am taking on the role as interim pastor until such a time as the congregation is prepared to call a long term, fully committed pastor who loves them and loves their community. If anyone of you reading this know of someone who loves to teach the Word and nurture those in his or her care, talk to me. The person must recognize the special qualities to be found in small town America and champion the people God has given to CrossPointe Church.

If you have additional questions about CrossPointe, please do not hesitate to contact FTFI.

NE RMAI YOUTH CAMP

The first is that I will be headed to the Northeast RHEMA Ministerial Association International(RMAI) Summer Youth Camp on Sunday the 4th. Camp runs from July 4 - 9 this year. It is once again being held at Refreshing Mountain Camp in Stevens, PA. As always I will be charged with helping make sure all runs smoothly and filling any gaps. This is a week I always look forward to...and this year I thought it was not going to happen due to finances. BUT GOD! This morning I received a call from one of the district's leaders to say that it was possible and could I still come. Will keep you informed as I am able. Will try to upload some pics while I am there. As some of you know, I am the Keeper of the Holy Frog during camp. That means I write riddles based upon scripture and camp geography each morning...whichever team finds the daily hiding place of the Holy Frog wins points toward the week-long endeavor of becoming the Annual Camp Champions.

ETHIOPIAN ORPHANAGE PROJECT

On Monday June 28th I made my way to the bank. It was time to send off  $4500 to an orphanage in the country of Ethiopia, located in East Africa. These monies were raised through the diligent efforts of the Rogers Family in Portland, OR, who will soon be going to Ethiopia in order to bring home their newest daughter/sister. However, they wanted to leave a sizable gift to the children who remain in the orphanage, so they have been raising funds since December 2009. The money raised will go toward the daily operations of the orphanage, which includes baby formula, diapers, clothing, and the like. I will keep you posted as the Rogers Family continues to walk out their dream.
