The Vision

The Purpose and Vision of Faith to Faith International

·       Preach and teach the Good News of Jesus Christ to all—child and adult alike—in order to affect the world for Him and bring forth His Kingdom, using every means possible.

·       Effectively communicate and demonstrate God's plan for every believer (Jeremiah 29:11; Romans 1:17).

·       Make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8).

·       Work alongside of and in conjunction with the Body of Christ, locally as well as universally.

·        Act as a catalyst for learning and achievement.

·       Help create dynamic ministry environments, where nothing is seen as impossible

·       Always leave behind an imprint of excellence, one that will encourage others to reach for and attain only God's plan for their lives as well as fulfill the visions and dreams God has given, both individually as well as corporately.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).

What We Believe

Faith to Faith International recognizes that its basis of faith shall be the doctrine of Christ according to II John 9-11: "Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God..."  The Biblically inspired doctrinal basis of faith which lists the seven principles of the doctrine of Christ is found in Hebrews 6:1-2: "Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection; not lying again the foundation of repentance from dead works; and faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgement."

Thus, we see that these seven principles include the following:

1.      Repentance from dead works.

2.      Faith toward God.

3.      Doctrine of baptisms.

4.      The laying on of hands.

5.      The resurrection of the dead.

6.      Eternal judgement.

7.      The going on to perfection.

Faith to Faith International recognizes and fully supports the following Statement of Faith:

Statement of Faith

·        We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and write as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in all matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21;  1 Thess. 2:13).

·        We believe in the Godhead.  Our God is One, but manifested in three Persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being coequal (Phil. 2:6).  God the Father is better than all; the sender of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 1:14, 14:28, 16:28). The Son is the Word flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning (John 1:1, 14, 18). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son is and is eternal (John 15:26).

·        We believe in man, his fall, and redemption. Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world: "For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God" "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Rom. 5:14, 3:23, 3:10; 1 John 3:8).

·        We believe in eternal life and the new birth. Man's first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The New Birth is necessary to all men and when experienced produces eternal life (2 Cor. 7:10; 1 John 5:12; John 3:3-56).

·        We believe in water baptism. Baptism in water is by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Acts 8:36-39; Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4; Col. 2:12).

·        We believe in the baptism in the Holy Ghost. The Baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the New Birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance (Matt. 3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8, 2:4, 38-39, 19:1-7).

·        We believe in sanctification. The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a definite yet progressive work or grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ's return (Heb. 12:14; 1 Thess. 5:23; 2 Pet. 3:18; 2 Cor. 3:18, Phil. 3:12-14; 1 Cor. 1:30).

·        We believe in divine healing. Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every member of the Church today (Mark 16:18; James 5:14-15; 1 Pet. 2:24; Matt. 8:17; Isa. 53:4-5).

·        We believe in the resurrection of the just and the return of our Lord. The angels said to Jesus' disciples, "...this same Jesus shall so come in like manner as ye have seen  him go into heaven" (Acts 1:11). His coming is imminent. When He comes: "...the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air..." (1 Thess. 4:16-17). Following the Tribulation, He shall return to earth as King of kings and Lord of lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years (Rev. 20:6).

·        We believe in hell and eternal retribution. The one who physically dies in his sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the Lake of Fire, and, therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The Lake of Fire is literal. The terms "eternal and everlasting," used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the Lake of Fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of the saints in the Presence of God (Heb. 9:27; Rev. 19:20).

Lastly, it is evident that even in the Apostolic Church, aside from the requirements of belief in the doctrine of Christ, there was not uniformity of belief in all matters, including the example of circumcision (Acts 15:1).  The apostles did not attempt to resolve the differences in this case.  Either side was given liberty of conscience in the matter, but neither was permitted to make it an issue.  Faith to Faith International therefore stands for Apostolic liberty of conscience but disapproval of any who would use that liberty to divide brethren.

What We Do

Do whatever it takes to get the job done, to help all successfully live out the vision of God for their lives, their churches, their ministries...

~

This is the call of Faith to Faith. This is what we do, day after day. Understandably so, though, no two days are the same since no two people, no two churches, or no two ministries are identical. God is not a cookie cutter God, and He does not hand out cookie cutter visions to His people. They are unique to those He has called to accomplish the work.

And just as there are no cookie cutter visions...so there are no cookie cutter solutions to the problems we face as we pursue God's plan for our lives and our ministries. Faith to Faith is dedicated to taking a fresh look at the challenges we face and creating solutions that fit those needs.

What does that look like? Well, it varies from day to day and month to month but here are a few of things that Faith to Faith does to help you become more successful at what God has called you to accomplish in His Kingdom:

  • Teaching and discipleship -- pulpit ministry (i.e., a Sunday morning, a women's meeting, a specially called service, a leadership conference...) Hallmark of FTFI: Biblical teaching ministry that is prayer driven and Holy Ghost led. If an opportunity opens to share the Gospel or disciple believers, Faith to Faith is available.
  • Ministry Review -- in-depth, one-on-one review of leadership and organizational structures and processes.  Based upon the goals of the individual minister or ministry, Faith to Faith International is available to come for an on-sight visit that is followed by a detailed analysis of the current situation with multiple scenarios presented as to how to correct, adjust, and move forward.
  • Behind the Scenes -- sometimes, oft times, it is not pulpit ministry that would be the most helpful or is the most needfulThis is when Behind the Scenes work comes into play. I express it like this -- whatever it takes to get the job done. Perhaps it is a simple conversation or a series of conversations with the ministry team or pastor...bringing the vision into better focus and creating a game plan for fulfilling the vision. Or perhaps it is a customized conference or event. Faith to Faith International stands behind its commitment to help make ministers, ministries, and churches successful in fulfilling the Kingdom Vision they have been given.
  • Writing for the Kingdom -- when the spoken word isn't enough. Stephanie has a gift for the written word...whether it is putting the vision on paper, writing curriculum that fulfills a need, or ghostwriting on a project.  The Word tells us to WRITE the vision in order to make it plain so that all who read it may run with it.
  • Barnabus -- Barnabus was known as the Son of Encouragement.  Think of it this way: A marathon runner is often cheered by those who stand at the side of the road or path; however, what a difference it makes to the one running when someone chooses to run alongside while encouraging them to complete their race.  We all need those who will encourage us to finish our course with joy....but how much better when we know they are not just a bystander but fully vested in the race themselves.  When we know someone has gone before us and lived through it to tell the tale....we are more apt to have a listening ear and a cheered heart.

The above list in no way details all that Faith to Faith does...but it gives a glimpse into the varied ministry that takes place. Furthermore, the practical shall always be inextricably linked with the spiritual, for both are needed for us to fulfill the plan of God for our lives. As the Apostle James told us...faith without works is dead!!! We must act upon our faith...and as men and women of God that means that we must be diligent to do the W-O-R-K of the ministry.

Faith to Faith wants to see each and every member of the Body of Christ in his or her right place...so that the entire Body will be functioning as it was created to do.

If you have any questions about anything you have read or a particular situation that you or your ministry is facing, please do not hesitate to contact Faith to Faith International. You will find someone willing to listen and committed to helping you find the answers you seek in a confidential environment, grounded in trust and integrity.
